The newest member of the OWGP Shared Growth Plan will share 1.5 million pounds of financial support

The two British offshore wind power supply chain companies will benefit from more than £1 million in business transformation support under the offshore wind power growth cooperation plan.

Tekmar and Windhoist are the latest members of the Offshore Wind Power Growth Partnership Growth Sharing Program and will share 1.5 million pounds in funding.

Since the beginning of 2021, Shared Growth has been working with supply chain companies in the offshore wind power sector.

Tekmar and Windhoist have joined the Global Energy Group (GEG) and Wescott Industrial Services, and GEG and Wescott have just completed their first 100 days of the program.

Darlington-based Tekmar Group has been active in the offshore wind power field for more than 20 years, providing geotechnical assessment and engineering analysis, customized equipment design and construction, and subsea asset protection and stabilization solutions for the global offshore energy market.

Headquartered in Glasgow, Windhoist is a global wind turbine installation contractor, providing heavy crane, mechanical and electrical services to wind turbine manufacturers.

In the past few years, as the market shifted to offshore installation and maintenance, wind hoists have been developed for offshore pre-assembly and offshore labor services.

The offshore wind power growth sharing plan focuses on all aspects of the company that help increase productivity, from leadership and culture to operations and logistics.

The plan combines the experience of the aerospace and offshore wind power industries and aims to attract the participation of six to eight offshore wind power supply chain companies.

The partnership is funded by members of the Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC) as part of the offshore wind industry transaction, with a 10-year budget of 100 million pounds to support the development of the UK's supply chain.
