News: February 2022 U.S. Truck Sales Crash Down, The New Toyota Tundra Is the Only Bright Spot - The Fast Lane Truck

It’s no secret, the automotive industry and the world economy are going through a very hard time. Component shortages, inflation, world uncertainty, winter storms, and many other factors combine for a bad sales result. Pickup truck sales in the United States for February 2022 are lower than they have been in a long time.

Let’s take a look at the full-size pickup trucks first. Ford and Toyota are the only ones reporting sales on a monthly basis. The Ford data comes directly from Ford. The Toyota data comes via GoodCarBadCar. While many manufacturers are not reporting sales, it’s alarming to see these low Ford F-Series numbers. The only bright spot is the all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra sales improvement as the company is ramping up production of the new truck.

The midsize segment is also down across the board with the data that we have from Toyota, Ford, and Honda.

The compact pickup truck segment is doing well, but we don’t have a great benchmark to compare against.

Here are some new truck towing 0-60 MPH acceleration runs to hopefully raise our spirits.
