Ingersoll Rand used its presence at Modex in March to introduce two new hoists and a floor-supported crane system.

The company unveiled its Kinetic Series manual chain and lever hoist offering, SideKick series ultra-compact lever hoist and its EZ Series floor supported crane during the four-day event.

The former, its Kinetic line, are built with caged ball bearings on the load sprocket and caged roller bearings through the main shaft, which is said to minimize the manual effort of the user and also makes for smoother operation.

A reinforced construction means the lever hoist is capable of handling loads from .75 to 9 metric tons while the manual chain hoist has a lifting capacity that ranges from .25 to 20 metric tons. Ingersoll Rand's EZ Series floor supported crane systems are said to eliminate the need for an overhead support structure and feature an advanced design incorporating Delrin wheels that are claimed to reduce rolling resistance to one percent of the loads weight.

Also showcased at the event was its SideKick mini lever hoists that are engineered to fit into the tightest places, and also weigh less than 10 pounds.

The manufacturer says this line is the "perfect" hoist for professions such as a weekend mechanic, or one needing a highly portable lifting solution. This series is capable of lifting capacities ranging from, .25 metric tons to .75 metric tons.
