theScore Bet will hoist fans above holes at Canadian Open as part of deal

Sportsbook operator theScore Bet will entertain small batches of guests in seats dangling 100 feet above the first and last holes at the PGA Tour’s RBC Canadian Open in Toronto next week as part of a multiyear sponsorship with Canada’s golf governing body. Groups of 22 will be strapped into “Skyline Seats” around a long rectangular table and then hoisted by crane to a peak height above the St. George’s Golf & Country Club clubhouse, where they will hang for 30 minutes. Complimentary food and beverages will be served. Operated by the global group Events in the Sky, the experience will be available only to those with active theScore Bet sportsbook accounts, who will be able to secure spots at several other areas the sportsbook will sponsor during the event, including a premium members lounge along the 18th fairway and “Bet Mode” putting contest stations around the course. Toronto-based SDI Marketing is working with theScore Bet on on-site promotion at St. George’s. Based in Toronto and tied to Canada’s leading sports media app, theScore Bet is presumed to be among the leading sportsbook operators in Ontario, which opened to regulated online operators on April 4. The province is not expected to begin reporting operating results until later this month.
