Oddvar Norheim, owner, CEO and chairman of the American Crane and Equipment Company (ACECO) in Douglasville, Pennsylvania, died peacefully at his home on Monday, October 25, 2021, at the age of 79 age.

Norheim was born on a small island called Lygra off the coast of Bergen, Norway. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend. His two daughters, Stephanie Delibertis and Karen Norheim, survived.

In 2019, Nauheim passed control of the company to his daughter Karen and appointed her as president and chief operating officer. Prior to this, she worked for the company for 17 years as vice president and executive vice president.

Norheim will not only be remembered for establishing a successful company, he also played an important role in the American material handling, logistics and supply chain industry trade association MHI, he also served as the chairman of CMAA (American Crane Manufacturers Association) and in It has great influence in enhancing the image of American bridge cranes and cranes.

"Oddvar is a passionate leader in the North American crane industry. He served as Vice President of CMAA from 2005 to 2006 and President of CMAA from 2007 to 2008.
