The Monorail Overhead Alliance, MMA, part of MHI the US Material Handling, Logistics and Supply Chain industry trade association, has elected a new president, Brian Stephens, senior product manager Modular Cranes and Drives,Demag Cranes and Components Corp. effective from January 2022.

Stephens will take over from Jerry Eischens former president MMA and VP/general manager TC/American Crane, to fulfil a two-year term and the next vice president of MMA will be Lee Bailey , manager, Manufacturing Integration & Engineering, Schmalz Vacuum Technology USA.

MMA has about nine member companies including; Ingersoll Rand, Spanco, ACCO Materials Handling Solutions, Gorbel, TC/American, Schmalz, CMCO, Demag and Unified Industries and recently held its annual Fall meeting in person as opposed to remotely, via Zoom.

Stephens is no stranger to MMA, having already served as vice president for the previous two years. Here, he talks to Hoist about the association’s recent Fall meeting as well as any challenges the industry will face in the coming years.
